Founded by Army Veteran Mike Texeira in early 2016, The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC started as an after duty and weekend’s hobby. With just an old “Bread Truck”, an advertisement on social media, and a prepaid cell phone, it was never expected to become a full service moving company.
Now, seven years later and with more trucks, we are proud to have served more than 10,000 families and counting in the Fayetteville, NC; Colorado Springs, Co; and the Great Orlando, FL areas. Great service begins and ends with experienced and friendly staff, which is why we put so much consideration into selecting the best people to join our team. We aim to not only meet your needs, but also exceed your expectations of what a dependable moving company can be.
We are a steadily-growing company and we offer local and long distance home and business relocation services. Our goal is to exceed customer’s expectations during every move, even if they are a repeated customer. We move apartments, condominiums, homes, businesses, offices, storage units and everything in between. Moving down the street or to a new home or business building, we’re here to help you.

HISTORY
The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC started in the early months of 2016. Mike started moving people in the Fayetteville, NC area using an old Chevy P30 Van he bought in 2011. Mike had no need or purpose for the van and it wasn’t until the end of 2014 when a friend asked to use the truck to move down the street that things started going. This gave Mike the idea of getting into the moving business.
In the beginning he was providing his services for $15.00 per hour. Shortly after he realized that most customers would want their $5.00 back so he decided to make it easier by charging a whole $20.00 bill. In a matter of weeks, everyone referred to him as the “$20.00 Truck” and that led to the name of the company today.
The demand was so big that Mike decided to enlist the help of others and turn the company into an all-day service. He continued to answer the calls for moving services while at the same time performing his military duties. By the end of 2016, Mike received orders for a combat deployment and decided to make things official by hiring a customer service manager and a team of two movers.
Today, Mike still answers the needs of some of his customers. Most customers may only get to meet the movers he hires, but others may actually meet him and his Chevy P30 Van as he believes that no matter your position, you should always be available to your customers.

Get the moving truck and a two man team with this service. The loaders will drive the truck to your pick up and delivery locations. They will carefully disassemble, load, transport, unload and assemble any and all of your belongings. Second and third floors are no problem to the team. A travel fee may apply.

We will pick up your item(s) from any local business and safely transport them to you. Dedication to your satisfaction at every turn packed with the expertise of our loaders from the time they touch your items to the time it reaches its final destination.
Now that you have your own truck you realized you still have one problem: How do you get your items loaded in and out of the truck? Well, that's where we come in. FOUNDER AND CEO
Visionary, trustworthy, fun. These are just a few of the ways coworkers describe him. Mike is an army officer with 19 years of active duty service. Originally from New York, NY, he has spent most of his military career in the Fayetteville, NC area. Mike has a Bachelor's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management and a Master's Degree in Business Administration.

TYRIK COBBS
SUPERVISOR
FAYETTEVILLE, NC
Tyrik rose to the supervisor position on November 1st, 2021. He brings years of experience and skills to the forefront in helping our business grow and evolve. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he found himself teaming up with The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC after he lead the furniture department of a local retail chain store. ​

Fun Fact: Tyrik's NHL team? Flyers. Constant Pennsylvania battle at the office with Mike.
WILL JOHNSON
LOADER
Will joined The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC in January of 2023. He is native of Fayetteville, NC. Will is very familiar with the moving industry as he worked with Tyrik in a local furniture store in our area and our very own appliance stores.
Fun Fact: Will and Tyrik not only worked together in a furniture store, but they also combine their talents to create musical masterpieces.
JAMIE CRUZ
GENERAL MANAGER

Mike's "Right Hand Woman". Joining us from Ponce, Puerto Rico, most believe that it is Mike who makes all of the important decisions when in reality, most rarely need to be elevated to his level. Jamie has been in Mike's life for over 19 years and she is trusted to run the company like Mike would. Jamie has a Bachelor's Degree in Office Management and is loved and respected by all members of the team

DAVID TEXEIRA
BRANCH MANAGER
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO
David is Mike's older brother and the lead of the Colorado Springs, CO branch. After earning a mechanical engineering degree, David joined the US Army to become an Apache Helicopter pilot. When he is not flying a helicopter he keeps himself busy expanding The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC in Colorado.
Fun Fact: There are none! This guy is very smart and we got nothing on him!
ANSEL ARIZMENDI
DRIVER/LOADER
Ansel joined The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC in February of 2021. He is a transfer from the Colorado Springs, CO branch. A native of Guayama, Puerto Rico, Ansel became one of the fundamental pillars of the CO branch expansion. Called "The Doc" by everyone at the office, he uses his MS in Public Health to better the health and welfare of all team members.
Fun Fact: Ansel and Mike's brother David went to high school together.

It didn't take long for Gloriel to make a big impact.
Professionalism to a tee and never without a smile. Gloriel is more than an asset to The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC family. Originally from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, Gloriel found herself in Fayetteville, NC due to a military assignment. ​

LINETTE CRUZ
BRANCH MANAGER KISSIMMEE, FL
Linette spearheaded the expansion of The $20.00 Moving Truck, LLC into the Greater Orlando area. She works side by side with Jamie and David to coordinate daily deliveries of more than 100 pieces in her region. Originally from Ponce, Puerto Rico, she is one of the fundamental pillars of our company.
Fun Fact: Linette can surely surprise many with her weight carrying abilities. She is an avid CrossFit athlete.
